The entire fourth grade had the opportunity to go on a field trip to our local Howard Christensen Nature Center. It has an entire program set up to teach the Michigan Science standards of food webs, producers, consumers, decomposers, animal adaptations, and many means of survival. While hiking around in the woods and ponds, they were able to study these things up close and personal. It was a great experience that was paid for with a grant from the Kent City/Valley Ridge Community Foundation. Thank you for an awesome learning experience.
Even the weather cooperated and held the rain at bay...
